Labcorp is seeking a Senior Director, Precision Medicine Business Operations & Strategic Delivery , to join our team in Morrisville, NC; Indianapolis, IN; or Torrance, CA. This leadership role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule while driving strategic initiatives that advance precision medicine and improve patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities
Executive Leadership & Business Operations
- Provide global leadership for Precision Medicine Business Operations & Strategic Delivery, serving as the key integration point across Clinical Trial Delivery, Companion Diagnostics (CDx) Development & Manufacturing, Scientific Strategy & Commercial Enablement, Bioinformatics & Data Science, and enabling functions.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team responsible for strategic execution, portfolio governance, business performance, operational excellence, organizational effectiveness, resource planning, process improvement, communications, training, and digital enablement.
- Partner with the Precision Medicine Leadership Team to define and execute strategic priorities that drive business growth, operational excellence, and organizational performance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating complex business, scientific, and operational challenges into actionable strategies and measurable outcomes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and execution excellence across the organization.
- Drive organizational alignment by ensuring strategic initiatives, operational priorities, resources, and business objectives are effectively coordinated across global, matrixed teams.
- Establish governance frameworks and decision-making processes that enable effective portfolio oversight, risk management, and delivery of business outcomes.
- Lead organizational transformation initiatives, change management strategies, and scalable operating models that support growth, efficiency, and long-term success.
Strategy & Business Enablement
- Own the development, prioritization, and execution of the Precision Medicine strategic initiative portfolio.
- Partner with executive leaders to translate business strategy into operational plans, measurable objectives, and sustainable results.
- Lead enterprise portfolio governance and prioritization processes to optimize investments, resource allocation, and organizational focus.
- Oversee business performance management through executive dashboards, KPI frameworks, forecasting, analytics, and leadership reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve scalability, productivity, quality, profitability, and overall business effectiveness.
- Function as the primary integration leader across Precision Medicine functions, ensuring alignment of priorities, dependencies, and execution plans.
- Champion digital transformation through automation, AI-enabled solutions, workflow optimization, and data-driven decision making.
- Drive implementation of best practices standardized operating models, governance structures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner closely with Finance, HR, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Digital Technology, Commercial, and Enterprise Business Operations to ensure successful execution of strategic priorities.
Performance & Organizational Excellence
- Establish enterprise-wide performance management frameworks, metrics, and reporting capabilities.
- Monitor portfolio health, strategic initiative execution, workforce utilization, organizational effectiveness, and business performance.
- Provide executive insights and recommendations regarding operational performance, strategic outcomes, opportunities, and risk mitigation.
- Lead business review processes and performance discussions with senior leadership.
- Ensure strong governance, accountability, and performance management practices across the organization.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies that support business continuity, growth, and operational resilience.
- Measure the impact and return on investment of strategic initiatives, transformation programs, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support annual business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
Client & Industry Leadership
- Support executive client engagements by providing strategic and operational leadership across Precision Medicine solutions and services.
- Participate in executive governance meetings, strategic client discussions, and business reviews.
- Represent Precision Medicine in discussions involving complex biomarker, companion diagnostic, laboratory, and clinical trial solutions.
- Partner with commercial, scientific, operational, and delivery teams to ensure customer commitments align with organizational capabilities and strategic goals.
- Sponsor initiatives that enhance customer experience, operational performance, and service excellence.
- Collaborate with business development and commercial teams to drive growth, innovation, differentiation, and scalability.
- Represent Precision Medicine at executive reviews, industry forums, leadership meetings, and key stakeholder engagements.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Business or 14 or more years leadership experience in central laboratory, diagnostics, precision medicine
- 10 or more years of leadership experience within healthcare, diagnostics, life sciences, clinical research, precision medicine, laboratory operations, or related environments.
- 5 or more years’ experience leading managers, cross-functional teams, and enterprise initiatives within a matrixed organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Life or Physical Sciences or Business
Additional Job Standards
- Experience in companion diagnostics (CDx), precision medicine, biomarker programs, clinical trials, laboratory services, or related healthcare and life sciences environments.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across scientific, operational, commercial, regulatory, technology, and business functions.
- Proven ability to operate effectively within highly matrixed global organizations, influencing stakeholders and driving outcomes without direct authority.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, define complex challenges, develop strategic recommendations, and execute in dynamic business environments.
- Experience developing executive-level presentations, business cases, governance materials, and strategic communications to support senior leadership decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships and foster collaboration across global organizations and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience driving business growth through capability development, service launches, commercialization strategies, strategic partnerships, or market expansion initiatives.
- Proven success collaborating with global teams and stakeholders across multiple regions, cultures, and business environments.
- Demonstrated history of leading and delivering large-scale global strategic initiatives that achieve measurable business impact.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial testing services, laboratory operations, biomarker testing, companion diagnostics, central laboratory processes, and the broader clinical development landscape.
- Ability to translate complex scientific, operational, and business challenges into actionable strategies and measurable results.
- Strong business acumen with experience in strategic planning, portfolio management, operational performance management, financial planning, and resource optimization.
- Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
- Experience leveraging operational excellence methodologies, process improvement initiatives, business analytics, KPI development, and performance reporting to drive continuous improvement.

Pay Range: $180,000 - $210,000
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers. Compensation may also include discretionary short- and long-term incentive packages.
