The Principal, AI Solutions translates complex and often ambiguous business needs into practical AI-powered solutions that improve how teams work. As a senior individual contributor within the AI Transformation team, this role partners closely with functional subject matter experts to discover opportunities, design solutions, and deliver AI-enabled workflows, agents, automations, and other tools that create measurable business value.

 The role works across multiple business functions and combines hands-on solution building with consultative partnership, product thinking, and change management. The Principal, AI Solutions also develops reusable patterns and practices, shares insights with business leaders, and contributes to the continued evolution of Higher Logic’s enterprise AI strategy while operating within the architecture, standards, and governance established by the AI Transformation Lead.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Serve as trusted AI solution expert, providing functional leaders and subject matter experts with guidance to identify business friction, clarify ambiguous needs, and translate high-value opportunities into practical AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead the end-to-end discovery, design and delivery, and continuous improvement of AI agents, skills, workflows, automations, prompt-based solutions, and related tools, balancing business value, usability, speed, scalability, and enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards.
• Work closely with end users and functional stakeholders throughout solution development to understand workflows, validate requirements, support adoption, and incorporate change management considerations into solution design and rollout.
• Develop reusable solution patterns, playbooks, templates, documentation, and best practices that enable successful approaches to be adapted across teams and reduce duplication of effort.
• Collaborate with the AI Transformation Lead, technology partners, and other stakeholders to identify dependencies, escalate needs involving data access or infrastructure, and ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and broader transformation objectives.
• Evaluate solution effectiveness through user feedback, adoption, business outcomes, and other available measures; recommend enhancements or new approaches based on results and emerging capabilities.
• Stay current on relevant AI capabilities, techniques, and evolving practices, and rapidly assess their potential application to business workflows and organizational needs.
• Conduct all business in accordance with Higher Logic policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Strong proficiency with applied artificial intelligence concepts and tools, including an understanding of AI agents, skills, workflow automation, prompt-based solutions, and related approaches.
• Strong judgement and problem solving skills, with demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous or complex business problems into clear requirements, solution concepts, and working deliverables, especially where precedent may be limited.
• Strong product-oriented mindset with the ability to balance user needs, business value, feasibility, speed, and scalability.
• Ability to build and iterate solutions quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining appropriate quality, documentation, and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and concurrent initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders, communicate AI concepts clearly to various audiences, and to collaborate productively.
• Understanding of change management principles and the human factors that contribute to successful technology adoption.
• Ability to recognize common patterns across different business functions and translate successful approaches into reusable solutions and practices.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a centralized AI Transformation team and across multiple business functions.

 

EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

• Product management, project management, business analytics, GTM strategy, consulting, or transformation experience is a plus.
