Description
•Deploying to locations to conduct NTS activities to a high standard, under the direction
of the NTS TL.
• Utilizing GPS and Survey 123 systems to collect geographical data related to EO spot
and Hazard locations, always ensuring accuracy.
• Ensuring Hazardous Area (HA) data and polygon information collected achieve the
minimum data requirements for Classification of the HA; relating to Indirect and Direct
Evidence, contamination type, and beneficiary data.
• Physical marking of Spot Tasks and HA’s using NPA marking systems as directed in the
SOP.
• Assisting the NTS TL in the development of NTS survey and Hazard reporting.
• Liaising with local community members and stakeholders, utilizing probing questioning
techniques to obtain accurate information relating to EO hazards within the specific
location.
• Delivering Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) to affected communities and HA
beneficiaries as and where required as instructed by the NTS TL.
• Ensuring appropriate communication techniques and methodologies are used during
EORE, including but not limited to; adjusting language based on participant
demographics, and ensuring two-way communication for a participatory session.
• Assisting in recording pre- and post-impact assessment data, under the direction of the
NTS TL.
• Ensuring conduct and engagement with communities, stakeholders, and others is
representative of the organization and in line with NPA governing policies, including but
not limited to; Code of Conduct and Safeguarding policies, Prevention of Sexual
Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH), Anti-Corruption.
• Maintaining issued equipment and timely and proactively reporting any malfunctions to
the NTS NTL.
• Cleaning all equipment and tools, and proactively taking preparatory tasks for next day
deployment, including charging batteries.
