Job Summary
The Associate Director, Campus Operations and Planning, under direction, oversees business operations for assigned departments, offices, divisions, or agencies, which include hiring employees, negotiating contracts, addressing budget matters, understanding general business operations, and guiding work teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees the establishment of goals and objectives. Plans, implements, coordinate, monitors, and evaluate policies and procedures.
Oversees the preparation of management and productivity reports and studies. Coordinates and evaluates business functions.
Maintain financial and budget records. Monitors budget expenditures.
Oversees and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Assist in development and implementation of goals for assigned departments.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Provides leadership and operational oversight for Housing and Residence Life, Food Services, Campus Store, Print Services, and other assigned auxiliary operations. Establishes operational priorities, monitors service performance, and ensures high-quality, customer-focused services that support the University’s mission and enhance the campus experience.
Coordinates operational planning, activities, including auxiliary operations, departmental relocations, occupancy planning, event support, and operational impacts associated with construction and renovation projects. Supports the University’s space management initiatives by implementing and coordinating with campus stakeholders.
Monitors operational performance, develops service metrics, evaluates customer satisfaction, and implements continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, service quality, fiscal stewardship, and the overall campus experience.
Provides leadership, coaching, and professional development for assigned managers, supervisors, and staff. Supports the workforce planning, employee engagement, succession planning, and performance management while promoting accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.
Maintains a comprehensive understanding of all Campus Operations and Planning functions and collaborates closely with the Director to ensure integrated leadership across auxiliary enterprises and facilities operations, including facilities management, utilities, grounds and landscaping, custodial services, space management, and other operational units. Provides leadership continuity and cross-functional operational support.
Supports compliance with applicable federal, state, Texas A&M University System, and University requirements. Coordinates operational preparedness for emergencies, major campus events, business continuity, safety initiatives, and operational risk management activities.
Represents Campus Operations and Planning on University committees and workgroups, collaborates with campus departments, students, vendors, and external partners, and supports strategic initiatives that advance departmental and institutional objectives.
Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s degree in applicable field.
Experience – Seven years of related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of:
Word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.

Work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Salary: $77,500 to $90,000/annual
