As a Senior Staff Engineer SOC Implementation (f/m/div) on our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life. Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Implement and integrate complex digital SoC designs , focusing on the physical design aspects, including floorplanning, placement, clocktrees, routing, and power distribution network Translate high-level design requirements into detailed layout specifications, utilizing state-of-the-art EDA tools and flows to ensure efficient timing closure, signal integrity, and physical sign-off Work independently across various phases of the RTL2GDS flow, with a focus on synthesis, equivalence checking, and physical implementation, to ensure timely and effective delivery of SoC designs Develop and implement innovative clocking architectures, taking into account physical limitations of deep sub-micron designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to overcome implementation challenges Participate in an expert network to drive innovation, methodology, and flow topics in SoC floorplanning and top-level timing closure,contributing to the development of next-generation SoC designs Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed A degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a similar field At least 5+ years of working experience in Physical Design handling highly complex SoCs - with sound experience in Synthesis, Place & Route, and Timing Closure and involvement in FINFET technologies Very good knowledge in Synopsys and Cadence Toolset in the RTL2GDS domain Know-how in technical leadership in physical design projects Sound programming skills and knowledge in scripting languages like Tcl, Perl, or Python Basic experience in RTL coding Understanding of Functional Safety will be a benefit Fluent English language skills – with German being an added plus #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
