The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Site Chemical Focal to join our team in Heath, OH!
This position would be the primary interface for all Site Functional Stakeholders involved in the Chemical Management Process.
The Boeing Health Chemical Focal would be responsible for:
Site Chemical Process and HazTrax Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Site HazTrax Interface with all Warehouse, Functional, Program, and Production Teams
Conducts regular Production and Warehouse Area Chemical Inventory Audits
HazTrax Materials Coordination with Enterprise GOLD, MESci, Ariba Business Systems
Supports Business Process Guide applicable to HazTrax changes, planning, and Execution
Enterprise HazTrax Team point of contact, and Chemical Ste Risk Coordinator
Engages Enterprise HazTrax Team in resolving systemic HazTrax issues
Coordinates with and supports all Production Area Chemical Champions
Coordinates with and advises Site Leadership on Chemical Management Process Improvements
Coordinates with Supplier Management on applicable Chemical Delivery Timeliness
Coordinates with EHS on applicable HaZcom / OSHA guidelines.
Develop Chemical Usage and Risk Reports for Site Leadership
Position Responsibilities:
Guides integrated product design/build teams by independently representing Supply Chain Management (SCM) plans and strategies to arrive at optimal solutions
Leads cross-functional teams in the introduction of new tools and techniques
Presents analysis of performance measurements to senior managers
Investigate complex ordering conditions
Develops and implements new ordering methodologies
Ensures organizational compliance with inventory management policies, contractual requirements and governmental regulations
Creates complex schedules
Develop materials management estimates and schedules for new business proposals. Identifies, analyzes, develops and implements best practices, processes and procedures for SCM
Recommend changes to new or existing corporate and divisional policies
Leads teams and is responsible for overseeing, documenting, implementing and maintaining the improvements they contribute
Works under minimal direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience:
4+ years of experience with supply chain forecasting
4+ years of experience interpreting Bill of
4+ years of experience with industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications and Product)
2 + years’ experience handling chemicals and/or hazardous materials (includes all the diff chemicals they handle
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
1+ years of experience with eTRAC system (or equivalent shortage tracking system)
