The CSS Service Insights Analyst is responsible for delivering advanced analytical insights that drive business growth, improve customer engagement, and support strategic decision-making across the Services organization. The role analyzes large, complex datasets using SQL, Python, statistical methods, and AI-assisted analytical techniques to identify customer behaviors, performance trends, and business opportunities. Working closely with cross-functional business, product, and data engineering teams, the analyst develops measurement frameworks, defines analytical requirements, and translates data into actionable recommendations. The position creates executive-ready dashboards, visualizations, and data-driven narratives that influence product strategy, customer experience, and monetization initiatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical problem-solving skills, effective stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to transform complex data into meaningful business outcomes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support growth initiatives and strategic programs through experiment design, performance measurement, customer insight development, and AI-assisted analytical techniques that improve business understanding and decision-making.
  • Partner with customer engagement and cross-functional business teams to identify opportunities that increase subscriptions, customer engagement, retention, and product purchases through data-driven insights.
  • Define measurement frameworks, analytical requirements, and data product specifications, partnering closely with data engineering teams to develop scalable data assets that enable advanced analytics and business insights.
  • Deliver actionable insights by synthesizing data from multiple sources, including enterprise data warehouses, customer research, surveys, and behavioral data. Develop hypotheses, validate findings, and recommend actions that influence business strategy.
  • Create compelling data stories and executive-ready presentations that clearly communicate analytical findings, business opportunities, and recommendations to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Apply statistical methods, machine learning techniques, and AI-enabled analytical capabilities, where appropriate, to uncover patterns, explain business performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Continuously identify new opportunities to leverage data, analytics, and emerging AI capabilities to improve analytical efficiency, enhance business insights, and support strategic business objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, Engineering, or Economics.  Graduate degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of analytic work experience with an emphasis on email and in-app campaigns and experiences in support of digital products.
  • 3+ years working collaboratively with product teams.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Analytical Tools

  • Expertise in business intelligence and analytics platforms, including Power BI, Looker, ThoughtSpot, Google Analytics, and other visualization tools used to transform complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with experience developing complex queries, optimizing data retrieval, and analyzing large datasets; proficiency in Python for analytical workflows, automation, and advanced data analysis.
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms such as Databricks SQL, Amazon Redshift, and modern cloud-based data warehouse technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytical tools that enhance data exploration, insight generation, and analyst productivity while maintaining strong analytical rigor and validation.

Analytical Skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis with the ability to transform complex, large-scale datasets into meaningful business insights, strategic recommendations, and measurable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, frame complex business problems, perform exploratory analysis with minimal direction, and develop structured analytical approaches to answer open-ended business questions.
  • Experience designing and evaluating A/B tests, multivariate experiments, and campaign performance across digital channels—including email, mobile applications, web experiences to measure impact and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques, including logistic regression, generalized linear models, decision trees, clustering, factor analysis, and other predictive or descriptive analytical methods.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted analytical capabilities to accelerate insight generation, summarize analytical findings, and improve decision support while applying sound statistical methods and business judgment to validate results.

Comp and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $105,050.00 - 152,350.00 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
