Central Supply Clerk Primary Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Central Supply Clerk is the responsibility for the ordering, stocking and charging of all nursing supplies.
Responsibilities
Central Supply Clerk Essential Functions
- Ordering proper amounts of all nursing supplies.
- Keeping nursing supply rooms properly stocked and communicating with nursing staff to determine if any supplies need to be replenished or changes made in stock.
- Charging for all supplies used and entering information into the appropriate computer system for billing, daily and month-end purposes on a timely basis.
- Billing for all therapies and beauty shop services.
- Shopping for the resident when needed and as assigned.
- Operating within departmental budget.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure resident rights, privacy and property are protected at all times.
- Reporting and documenting resident and/or visitor incidents, accidents, complaints or allegations according to the facility’s policy and procedure using the designated occurrence reporting system.
- Performing other duties as assigned by Director of Clinical Services (DCS).
Qualifications
Central Supply Clerk Qualifications
- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge on the use of personal computers, e-mail accounts, software programs such as Word and Excel
- Have a thorough understanding of the principles of best Central Supply Clerk practices
- The ability to be discrete and protect the integrity of confidential information and stay within Corporate Compliance and HIPP
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine
