Job Summary:
Cohen & Steers is seeking a CRM Associate to join our Sales Enablement team, reporting to the Director of Sales Enablement Platforms. This role serves as the critical link between business users and our Salesforce platform, ensuring user needs are addressed within a broader CRM strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day health of the user experience, managing support requests, partnering with stakeholders to understand their workflows, and documenting the business processes that Salesforce is designed to support. In addition, the role plays a key part in bringing structure and discipline to our backlog and roadmap by translating a high volume of ad hoc requests into clearly defined, prioritized initiatives aligned with meaningful business outcomes. While the position includes light administrative configuration within Salesforce, it is fundamentally a business and data-focused role. The primary value of the CRM Associate lies in analysis, requirements gathering, process documentation, and helping the team deliver scalable, well-considered solutions that drive long-term business value. Cohen & Steers is committed to an inclusive culture, valuing diversity in support of our people and clients.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Relationship Management, and Distribution teams to gather business requirements, design and validate CRM solutions, and communicate outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into actionable work, developing well-defined user stories, features, and epics while maintaining a prioritized backlog and roadmap aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Engage regularly with Salesforce users to understand workflows, identify pain points, uncover adoption barriers, and recommend process improvements that enhance productivity and user experience.
- Design and deliver training and enablement programs across the Sales Enablement ecosystem, including the development and support of a super-user and champion network.
- Provide end-user support and case management, resolving issues efficiently while promoting best practices and increasing user proficiency with the platform.
- Drive stakeholder alignment through clear communication, providing timely updates on project status, priorities, key decisions, and delivery progress.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Salesforce business processes, system configurations, and operational procedures, ensuring materials remain current as capabilities and workflows evolve.
- Perform light Salesforce administration, including report and dashboard creation, list view management, and simple configuration updates within established governance guidelines.
- Identify and implement practical applications of generative and agentic AI to improve support processes, documentation quality, and overall team effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years of B2B Salesforce experience as an administrator, business analyst, or advanced power user; experience within asset management or the broader financial services industry is preferred.
- Relevant Salesforce Certifications preferred: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Business Analyst and/or Platform App Builder
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and core data model, including Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Leads, Campaigns, and Activities, with the ability to evaluate data quality, reporting needs, and object relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze business requirements, challenge assumptions, and partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective CRM solutions.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver high-quality work on time.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across technical and non-technical audiences and effectively balance strategic thinking with hands-on user support.
- Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives
- Agrees to comply with the firm’s hybrid work policy (“work from home policy,” as aligned with the Company’s employee handbook), which currently requires reporting to the Company’s New York City office four (4) days per week, with one (1) remote workday permitted.
Beneficial Skills
- Agile delivery and backlog management experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and roadmap prioritization.
- Salesforce and data management knowledge, including SOQL, reporting, data profiling, and master data concepts such as golden records and universal identifiers.
- Experience with integrated sales, marketing, and analytics technologies, including Marketo, Pardot, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Training and enablement expertise, including the design and delivery of user training programs and super-user/champion networks that drive adoption.
- Strong technical writing and process documentation skills, with the ability to create clear, maintainable documentation for both business and technical audiences.
