Forklift Yard Leader

Job Summary

This role will have a complete understanding of all material handling, inventory control practices (first in - first out, proper stock rotation, etc.), and reporting procedures. They will operate with an extremely high level of professionalism while supervising direct reports and working in conjunction with their own supervisor and upper management.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to provide direction to others and represent themselves as a leader 

• Operate as Manager when Manager is off floor or not in building 

• Expert understanding of machinery stock needs for continued production.  

• Active communication with employees and upper management  

• Capable of accurately locating product.    

• Must be able to organize, plan, provide tools and information to prepare shipments for unloading or transit 

• Inspect inbound or outbound goods and confirm that paperwork matches actual and identify any discrepancies or damage with the inventory manager.  

• Be able to work independently while managing multiple priorities at the same time 

• Complete cycle counts upon request and provide results back to inventory manager. 

• Must be responsible for specific tasks or roles as assigned.

• Operate all lift equipment safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• inventory management experience 

• Strong leadership skills 

• Ability to follow direction and have basic math skills 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

• Print reading ability

• Must be able to problem solve

• Ability to clearly identify product with or without labeling

• Exceptional attention to detail and quality

Hourly Pay Range:  $25.00 - $28.00 dollars an hour dependent on experience*
                *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
