  • Advance in-vehicle infotainment, safety, efficiency, and enjoyment

What You’ll Be Part Of

  • Short Range Devices (SRD) are becoming more and more important in the car. Handsfree Call uses Bluetooth, CarPlay and Android Auto are based on WiFi, V2X is key technologies to enable Autonomous Driving and UWB/NFC are the part of Passive Keyless Entry.
  • As a Wireless Engineer (Short Range Devices), you will support the development and validation of wireless technologies across multiple projects.
  • You will work closely with experienced experts, contributing to real-world RF and wireless solutions while further developing your technical expertise. This role is suitable for both recent graduates and experienced engineers, depending on your level of experience and ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • You will be part of the Short Range Devices team in SBU Connectivity and directly report to a manager in Karlsbad/Germany. The team is spitted between Karlsbad/Germany and Bucharest/Romania. You will be located Bucharest / Romania.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Support the development and integration of short-range wireless technologies (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, UWB, NFC, RFID)
  • Work across multiple projects, contributing to different phases of wireless system development
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to learn and apply RF and wireless engineering best practices
  • Assist in RF measurements, debugging, and performance analysis
  • Support testing and validation activities in both lab and development environments
  • Help analyze and troubleshoot wireless communication issues
  • Contribute to technical documentation, test reports, and design reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, testing, and system engineering)

What Makes You A Strong Fit

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Radio Frequency Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Open to recent graduates: as a junior engineer, you will be supported and mentored by an experienced team to help you   grow and develop your skills, while bringing:
    • Strong academic interest in subjects such as:
      • Wireless communication systems (Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, UWB, NFC, RFID)
      • RF and high-frequency (HF) engineering
      • Signal processing fundamentals
      • Measurement and laboratory techniques
      • Analog and digital electronics
    • Solid understanding of:
      • Analog and digital circuit design principles
      • Digital interfaces (e.g., SPI, I²C, UART, USB or similar)
    • Basic knowledge of RF measurement equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers)
    • Familiarity with analytical or scripting tools such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW
    • Basic knowledge of Linux environments and simple scripting (e.g., Bash or shell scripts)
    • Ability to understand and work with technical documentation
    • Hands-on mindset and willingness to work in lab environments
  • For experienced candidates:
    • Proven experience in wireless engineering, RF system development, or short-range communication technologies
    • Strong hands-on experience with RF measurements, debugging, and performance optimization
    • Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, as well as digital interfaces (e.g., SPI, I²C, UART, USB) in real product environments
    • Experience working on multiple projects and managing technical tasks independently
    • Familiarity with wireless standards (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, UWB, NFC, RFID) in applied development
    • Experience with test and validation processes, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
    • Familiarity with analytical or scripting tools such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW
    • Basic knowledge of Linux environments and simple scripting (e.g., Bash or shell scripts)
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and support junior engineers
