We are looking for a hands-on Service Technician to provide on-site support to our customers and ensure our chemical treatment programs and equipment perform at their best. About the role:
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering on-site technical service and support within your assigned territory. You will ensure chemical systems operate safely and efficiently through routine monitoring, testing, maintenance, reporting, and equipment inspections while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide on-site service and technical support to customers.
- Maintain chemical inventory and order stock as required.
- Prepare and handle chemicals safely.
- Collect samples and perform routine testing and analysis.
- Record test results and maintain accurate service records.
- Inspect, clean, calibrate, and carry out minor repairs on chemical dosing and monitoring equipment.
- Identify and report equipment faults, chemical leaks, and unusual operating conditions.
- Prepare service reports and communicate findings to customers.
- Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.
- Be flexible to support customer operational requirements, including occasional after-hours or night work.
About You
- Experience in a field service, maintenance, production, or technical service role within manufacturing, paper, water treatment, chemicals, or a related industry.
- Experience working with chemical dosing systems or industrial process equipment is highly regarded.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs.
- Knowledge of chemical handling and safe work practices.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while building strong customer relationships.
- Competent computer skills with experience completing reports and recording operational data.
- Current driver's license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
