Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support by completing various administrative and clerical duties in accordance with payroll and accounting practices assigned as needed. Prepare records for accurate payroll processing. The associate is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with company policies and state and federal laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The associate may be responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
- Open daily US Postal mail and scan to payroll email box for processing. Perform routine computer data entry for a specific function. Example: W-4 forms, State Withholding Forms, Local tax localities, Jury Duty, Negative Adjustments, Garnishment Refunds and others as needed.
- Process the weekly and biweekly payrolls which will include running the settlement steps and integration report review.
- Knowledge of garnishment processing. Will need to be able to enter garnishments in Workday (vendor setup, employee level setup, company fees, employee fees and reconcile payments).
- Assist with preparing Void Replacement forms for Treasury and Process Bank Returns which will include running settlement steps if needed and Printing Checks
- Review Workday reports and third-party vendor reports like CIC Plus reports. Could include communication with associates and/or managers. Communicate with vendors and internal associates to answer questions and resolve issues via teams calling and/or teams chats, and email.
- Analyze discrepancies and recommend resolution and escalate as needed. Assist with departmental projects as assigned. Expected to cross-train in multiple departments/positions and update department procedure documents.
- Be able to work on some evenings, weekends and/or possibly on holidays.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience in an accounting or payroll office, preferred.
Workday Payroll experience is a Plus.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other associates. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
