Description
Employment Type: Full-time (W2 or 1099 options available)
Rate: W2: $250/hour + $10/hour quality bonus (paid quarterly). 1099: $275/hour + $10/hour quality bonus (paid quarterly).
- W2 Employee option: $250/hour base + $10/hour quality bonus (paid quarterly); approximately $561,600 annualized based on 2,160 hours/year, including bonuses
- 1099 Independent Contractor option: $275/hour base + $10/hour quality bonus (paid quarterly); approximately $615,600 annualized based on 2,160 hours/year, including bonuses
- $50,000 sign-on bonus (treated as a forgivable loan over 3 years)

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
- ABEM certification preferred
- Eligible for a North Dakota medical license
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS required
- Compassionate, adaptable, and skilled in handling diverse medical conditions
- Proficiency in emergency procedures, including resuscitations and airway management
- Experience with Meditech EHR
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and traumatic conditions in a 10,000-volume emergency department
- Perform rapid patient assessments, triage based on acuity, and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Execute life-saving procedures including endotracheal intubations, chest tube thoracostomy, needle decompression, cricothyrotomy, central and arterial line placement, and cardioversion/defibrillation
- Manage critically ill patients with conditions such as sepsis, stroke, myocardial infarction, respiratory failure, hemorrhagic shock, and traumatic injuries
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies including laboratory tests, EKGs, plain film X-rays, CT scans, and ultrasound (POCUS)
- Administer emergency medications including thrombolytics, vasopressors, antiarrhythmics, sedation, and analgesics as indicated
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, mid-level providers, and consulting specialists to coordinate patient care and disposition
- Determine appropriate patient disposition: discharge with follow-up, hospital admission, transfer to a higher level of care, or observation status
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of all patient encounters in the EMR
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes
- Serve as a resource and supervisor for mid-level providers (NPs/PAs) during peak hours
