Job Summary:
Location: Methodist Estabrook Cancer CenterAddress: 8303 Dodge St, Omaha, NE
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
Works with Lead Lung Cancer Screening Coordinator to facilitate day-to-day operations for the Methodist Lung Cancer Screening Program. Coordinates patient records for current lung cancer screening program patients/participants. Assists with ongoing patient participation requirements. Meets with patients for their lung cancer screening exam to provide information and address patient questions.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Duties 1: 50%
Meet with patients to educate on screening and smoking cessation.
Coordinate Screening Exams
Duties 2: 25%
Prepares and completes data submission appropriately as required by American College of Radiology (ACR) protocols.
Retrieves, assembles, and maintains patient records to meet ACR/Screening standards.
Duties 3: 15%
Assists with ongoing subject participation requirements.
Utilizes Lung Screening Registry and EMR to facilitate retrieval and communication of patient information.
Duties 4: 10%
Performs skills competently and independently to assure patient safety.
Participates in mandatory in-services and/or CE programs as mandated by policies and procedures/external agencies and as directed by management.

Job Requirements
Education:
- Associate's Degree in business or health-related field required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirements.
Experience:
- Prior experience utilizing computer applications for word processing, accessing databases, internet research, and emailing required.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
License/Certification:
- Nurse Aide Registry or Medical Assistant preferred.
Skills/Knowledge and Abilities:
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proper Telephone Etiquette
- Knowledge of medical concepts and terminology.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work tasks.
- Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to determine best course of action in order to reach goals.
- Ability establish effective working relationships with co-workers, physicians, and patients/family members.
