Description

WHY PATIENTS NEED YOU

Our focus is on patients and understanding the critical role our medicines play to produce better health outcomes. As a dynamic and cross-functional team of experts, we develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies by integrating pricing and reimbursement, health technology assessment, evidence-based medicine review, and health economic modeling activities. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex projects, influence decision-making, and contribute to groundbreaking advancements in patient care globally.

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE

The Senior Manager, Pneumococcal Vaccines will sit within the One Pneumo (GASP PCV) team. Roughly half of the role owns the adult PCV access strategy workstream end-to-end — shaping value, access and pricing strategy for the in-line adult franchise (PCV20) and the next-generation adult asset (PG5). The other half drives local market access implementation — supporting country and cluster teams to translate global access strategy into executed, market-ready plans on the ground.

The Senior Manager owns a defined workstream and a defined market cluster, shaping strategy within those areas, leading cross-functional sub-teams through influence, and escalating material strategy shifts to the Senior Director. The role is the connective tissue between global adult strategy and local execution — ensuring adult access plans are competitive, locally relevant, and delivered.

HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT

Part A — Adult Access Strategy

  • Own the adult PCV payer value proposition (PVP) and objection-handler end-to-end, keeping it current with evidence and the competitive landscape.

  • Lead adult inputs into the Integrated Value & Access Strategy (IVAS) and GPA refresh cycles for the franchise.

  • Run competitive-trigger analysis for adult entrants (Merck Capvaxive / V116, Sanofi PCV21, Vaxcyte VAX-31) and translate findings into strategic implications and recommended responses.

  • Own adult pricing-scenario modeling and GPA-floor / IRP risk assessment for an assigned market set; recommend adult tender and contracting strategy.

  • Translate adult RWE and non-interventional study (NIS) outputs into payer-value narratives that support preferential adult recommendations (NITAG / ACIP-equivalent).

  • Support facilitation of the adult components of the Access Matrix Team (AMT) and VANTAC, preparing decision-ready materials.

Part B — Local Market Access Implementation

  • Own the country access roadmap suite for an assigned market cluster, localizing global strategy into executable in-market plans across adult and pediatric indications.

  • Embed with country Health & Value, Commercial and Medical teams to drive on-the-ground execution of access strategies

  • Support in-country tender preparation and execution, ensuring submissions reflect the latest value story and pricing guardrails.

  • Lead a cluster-market Community of Practice (CoP) to share playbooks, surface local intelligence, and build local access capability.

  • Operate the glocal feedback loop — ensuring local market needs and competitive intelligence are captured and reflected in global strategy.

  • Support country HTA / NITAG submissions and payer engagements in partnership with local teams.
