As an engineer on our team, you will be involved in the design, development, integration and verification of our unmanned aircraft software application team. We work in an embedded real time operating system environment, coded in C/C++, so proficiency in these areas will help the candidate come up to speed quickly. Candidates are also required to have excellent communication skills to communicate technical issues and status in both written and oral form to customers. The candidate must be adaptable to change, determined to accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions, enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment.
What You Will Do
Support the design, demonstrate, develop, and maintain embedded software for unmanned aircraft products.
Integrate software into complex aircraft systems
Develop and conduct complex tests and debug systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience developing software in a Linux build environment
Experience developing software for real-time operating systems
Experience developing software using the C or C++ languages
Experience working in a full software development life cycle
Experience developing and deploying software using containers

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
