SUMMARY OF POSITION
Under general supervision, performs technical tasks in the operation of the wastewater collection and/or storm water system. Employees in this classification assist with operating a Combo Truck, maintenance of all its equipment and preparing work site..

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with the operation of Combo Truck.
- Assists in maintaining all combo truck equipment (nozzles, wands, vac cans).
- Reads and understands GIS map with supervision
- Assist with preparing work site and traffic control.
- Responds to emergency sewer/stormwater requests.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

- Requires the ability to exercise the judgment required in situations characterized by repetitive or short cycle operations covered by set procedures or sequences.
- Requires the ability to perform coordinated movement involving placing and turning motions, such as operating a TV camera for sewer lines, back hoe, Hydro-Excavator and dump truck and trailer, front-end loader, air compressor, gas and electric pumps, and various hand tools.
- Requires the ability to work in confined spaces.
- Requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Requires the ability to learn and operate the current Work Order System.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the below Minimum Qualifications may be an acceptable substitute.
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license with tankers endorsement or the ability to obtain within twelve (12) months of employment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must have Class C Texas Driver’s License.
- Must obtain the National Incident Merit System (NIMS) certificate IS-100 and IS-700 within 6 months of employment.
- During storms or natural disasters, staff will be divided into two 12-hour shifts. During storms or natural disasters, staff may be called in while on vacation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 150 pounds). Some tasks require visual and odor perception and discrimination.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
There is limited exposure to environmental conditions. Tasks may require exposure to strong odors and/or smoke, traffic hazards, extreme heat/cold or extreme weather conditions.
