As our Assistant Accountant, you’ll be supporting the delivery of all aspects of the finance function in the IP and Tech Group. This will help us excel in meeting our deadlines timeously and delivering reports to the senior management and shareholders of the organisation, to assist with their decision-making processes, enabling us to stay ahead of the game.
What you’ll do
You’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:
- Vendor onboarding, including bank account verification call-backs
- Maintaining vendor master data
- Capture all invoices, accruals, and prepayments - Ensuring all postings are correct by product, region, platform, brand and game, where appropriate.
- Prepare weekly payments, ensuring that the correct amounts and suppliers are paid.
- Process all intercompany and intergroup billings.
- Record PPE & intangible asset transactions including additions and disposals in the accounting system
- Run depreciation and foreign exchange (FX) processes
- Assisting with Monthly FloQast reconciliations & commentary.
- Work collaboratively with relevant team members to achieve agreed financial KPIs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Ensure that critical information and updates are shared appropriately with relevant stakeholders.
- Manage expectations proactively and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Participate in the bi‑annual objective‑setting and performance review process
- Assist with internal and external audit deliverables.
- Ensure that all controls are adhered to, documented, and implemented for SOX compliance

What you’ll bring

- B.Com financial accounting degree or related qualification
- Minimum 1-3 years accounting experience
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience
- Experience in preparing variance analysis commentary.
- Experience in accounts payable or finance administration role
- Experience in fixed / intangible asset management
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some the following skills:
- Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry
- Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Navision or Business Central
- Experience in FloQast (Month end reconciliation tool)
- Experience in IBM Planning Analytics/TM1/Cognos
- Experience with SOX Compliance and/or Internal controls
