Job Description:
SCOPE: The Transportation Assistance Coordinator serves as a key contact for coordinating patient care, ensuring a seamless transition throughout the cancer journey by eliminating barriers to treatment and providing essential supportive care.
FUNCTIONS:
1. Facilitate the elimination of barriers to treatment and supportive care.
2. Coordinate and Manage Patient Navigation and Support Services.
3. Maintain Departmental Reports and Financial Oversight.
4. Perform Administrative and Other Duties as Assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in medical office required
• Knowledge of insurance benefits, authorization process and contracting also required
• Must be able to work independently, possess strong organizational and communication skills and to adhere to established goals and deadlines
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of principles & techniques of social services program development, implementation and evaluation.
• Combination of education, training, and experience in social services.
• Ability to plan, implement and maintain the coordination of services and programs.
