Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Pediatric Emergency Medicine to join a leading tertiary-care hospital in Saudi Arabia. The role involves providing advanced pediatric emergency care, overseeing acute medical and trauma cases, and contributing to clinical governance and quality initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-standard emergency care to pediatric patients, from neonates to adolescentsManage medical and surgical emergencies, including trauma, infectious disease, and respiratory distressLead multidisciplinary resuscitation teams and support complex triage casesMentor junior physicians and allied health professionals in emergency protocolsCollaborate with pediatric ICU, surgical specialties, and laboratory teams for comprehensive careContribute to training programs, audits, and research where applicableEnsure compliance with MOH and JCIA standards in clinical documentation and proceduresQualifications & RequirementsMedical Degree (MBBS or equivalent), with completion of pediatric and emergency trainingBoard Certification in Pediatric Emergency Medicine (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, or equivalent)Minimum 5 years of post-specialty clinical experience, preferably in tertiary hospitalsValid professional licensure or eligibility for Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Consultant classificationFluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageousPreferred AttributesDemonstrated leadership in high-pressure, fast-paced environmentsProven record of innovation in pediatric emergency care models or trauma systemsCulturally competent and family-centered approach to careFamiliarity with EMR systems and international hospital standards
