Group Procurement & Purchasing Manager
Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Group Procurement & Purchasing Manager to join our client's team.
The successful candidate will establish, develop, and lead the procurement function across multiple companies and international operations. This senior role requires a commercially focused professional who can create effective procurement strategies, introduce consistent purchasing procedures, and manage high-value supplier relationships.
The Group Procurement & Purchasing Manager will work closely with operational and leadership teams to ensure the timely sourcing of technical equipment, spare parts, materials, and services. The role will also focus on improving supplier performance, reducing procurement costs, strengthening governance, and delivering measurable savings across the organisation.
This position is suitable for an experienced procurement leader with strong negotiation, analytical, and team management skills. Previous experience within engineering, maritime, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments would be highly beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a group-wide procurement strategy across multiple companies and countries.
- Negotiate strategic supplier agreements, commercial terms, and framework contracts.
- Standardise purchasing policies, approval processes, procedures, and procurement controls.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage supplier performance and strategic partnerships.
- Lead and develop the purchasing team while supporting operational procurement requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier relationships.
- Previous exposure to engineering, marine, industrial, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
- Strong commercial, analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline; a CIPS qualification is an advantage.
