Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Coordinator to support our pediatric behavioral health and ADHD program. This role serves as a key liaison between patients, families, providers, and insurance companies to ensure coordinated care, timely medication management, and a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience working in a medical office environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience working with behavioral health, ADHD, or pediatric populations is a plus

Primary Responsibilities

  • Educate patients and families regarding ADHD screening and evaluation processes
  • Explain Schedule II medication refill procedures and assist with refill requests
  • Distribute, collect, and review behavioral questionnaires prior to evaluations
  • Schedule ADHD evaluations, behavioral consultations, and follow-up appointments
  • Prepare daily and weekly appointment documentation and charge-related materials
  • Obtain prior authorizations for prescribed medications as required by insurance providers
  • Manage the ADHD hotline and respond to patient calls promptly
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and providers regarding medication management and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring required physical examinations and follow-up visits remain current
  • Provide cross-coverage and support for front desk and administrative functions as needed
  • Assist with additional duties to support clinic operations and patient care

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in computer systems, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of medical terminology and insurance authorization processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of ADHD and common behavioral health concerns
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality, safety standards, and universal precautions

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday

  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 20 pounds, with the ability to assist with items up to 50 pounds when necessary
