PTMatic | Environmental Technician

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit an Environmental Technician to join our client's team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Environmental Technician will support daily waste management and site operations. The role involves the safe collection, handling, packaging, transportation, loading, and disposal of asbestos materials, hazardous waste, and non-hazardous waste. The successful candidate must follow established safety procedures, use protective equipment correctly, and maintain a responsible approach when working in controlled environments.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, dismantle, package, label, load, and prepare different types of waste for transportation and disposal.
• Support the decontamination of work areas and ensure that all activities are completed according to the Company Management Plan and applicable safety procedures.
• Use, inspect, and maintain personal protective equipment, decontamination equipment, company vehicles, machinery, and other operational tools correctly.
• Collect and prepare the consumables, materials, and equipment required for daily site operations.
• Perform additional operational duties required to support the safe and efficient day-to-day activities of the company.

Key Requirements:

• Good level of spoken English and the ability to understand workplace instructions and safety procedures.
• Responsible, reliable, and comfortable carrying out practical and physically demanding work.
• Strong commitment to health and safety when handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• A valid Maltese or EU Category B driving licence is considered an advantage.
• A forklift driving licence or cherry picker licence is considered an advantage.
