The Assembler Mobile Hydraulics is responsible for operating all Test Stands associated with their applicable Department. Key to ensuring quality assembly of materials, this position supports the test department by preparing products for test. The products are to be prepared according to all QSP and other controlled documents provided with the production order.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Locates, identifies, and retrieves components for production.
- Assemble according to drawings and production order.
- Needs to understand the HYDAC Quality Policy and Quality Objectives and how they are related to this position.
- Assure quality of all components and processes associated with assembly of the parts.
- Must read and interpret production work instructions, production orders, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and quality plans
- Packages and labels productions according to instructions.
- Performs SAP data entry for bin locations.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on machines.
- Order count checking.
- All work will be performed based on customer specific requirements using a variety of equipment, basic hand and technical tools.
- Uses fixed and variable measurement equipment
Requirements
Skills and Attributes
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Ability to read and understand model codes.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- General mechanical knowledge applicable for assembly operations.
- Ability to use a variety of material handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills for file searching.
- Must be able to independently seek assistance from supervision and/or other departments in order to perform given tasks (Engineering, Customer Service, etc.).
- Ability to understand and use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of both.
Safety and Personal Protective Equipment
- Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location.
- Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.
