Applications Analyst II

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT 

The Application Analyst will be responsible for collaborating proactively with cross-functional team members to translate business and integration requirements into configurable component designs and solutions. The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with other business and technology personnel and internal customers to provide very responsive support to this global application. 

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: 

• Work with global cross-functional business teams to handle enhancement requests independently or working with the development team
• Proficient in software development lifecycles namely Waterfall and Safe Agile Methodology.
• To understand business requirements from technical or non-technical artifacts and translate them into business requirements for dev and qa teams. 
• Navigate solution design with architects and dev managers and work towards the proposed solution.
• Responsible for setups and functional testing application software across production support, enhancements, and projects.
• Meet service level agreements for production support response and resolution. 
• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• Follow documentation, software development methodology, version control and testing, and migration standards
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Skills:

• Manage multiple complex projects that require coordination between development, QA and product team using Agile methodologies including SCRUM, Kanban, Scaled Agile etc. as required.
• Ability to handle custom in-house built applications and packaged solutions such as Oracle, Microsoft, and Salesforce solutions.
• Ability to create and present key requirements artifacts including but not limited to:
  • Scope Document 
  • Business Requirements Document 
  • Detailed Specification of Key Business Rules 
  • Use Cases and scenario mappings.
  • Activity Diagram
  • Business Process Mapping Diagrams and Documentations 
  • Gap Analysis
  • User Stories
  • Presentations (Power Point and Word Documents) for a non-technical business audience
• Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio 
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries. Understanding of API frameworks and NoSQL DBs.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (including tables, views, indexes, table spaces etc.), Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and other building blocks of an ERP.
• Coordinate migrations/implementation of changes between the different Application environments (i.e., Development, Test, and Production).
• Self-managing: well organized, with multi-tasking and time management skills; maintains attention to detail and works effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing multi-team environment.

 

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in IT/Technology. 
• 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Queries
• 3+ years of demonstrated skill in preparation and maintenance of documents, test cases, Project Lifecycle in MDM, CRM, SCM, cloud architectures, web and mobile application development, transactional and non-transactional database concepts, etc.
• 2+ years’ experience with complex, multi-national application implementations

 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience. 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology or equivalent 
• Experience with working on a cross-functional teams, with team members inside and outside of IT, at different levels including up to Director level Experience with international or multi-level marketing business
• Functional skills, working on any of the following systems – MDM, CRM, Data Lake, Snowflake
• Ability to support multiple applications or modules and multiple business groups.
• Understanding of cloud applications is preferred.
• Experience working in a DevOps Framework.
• Customer focused with a pro-active and responsive approach.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Effective writing and diagramming skills
