Stainless Piping Specialists is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a general machine operator with fabrication duties, including training and advancement opportunities that include Laser machine operation. Summary/Objective:
- The machine operator / Fabrication position safely performs cutting, grinding, laser cutting etc. for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations.
- Essential Functions:
- Perform typical Fabrication and Cutting operations.
- Select proper cutting programs.
- Establish proper stop location, cut condition adjustments as needed.
- Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
- Perform prescribed operator maintenance as required.
- Perform dimensional inspections.
- Detect and report defective materials to the supervisor.
- May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
- Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
Education and Experience:
- 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
- 1 year of fabrication and machine operation preferred.
- Blueprint reading.
- Organizational skills.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires standing, walking, & bending throughout shift, including lift and/or move items at times that may be up to 50 pounds.
