About the Role

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC) preferred.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in civil construction inspection or supervision.
  • At least 5 years of experience in hydropower, pumped storage, dam, tunnel, underground cavern, or large infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in underground powerhouse construction, shaft excavation, concrete structures, and heavy civil works is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts, QA/QC procedures, and HSE requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction reporting systems

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect civil and structural works related to the power station, powerhouse, underground caverns, tunnels, shafts, access roads, and associated infrastructure.
  • Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.
  • Monitor excavation, rock support, concrete placement, reinforcement installation, grouting, waterproofing, and structural works.
  • Witness inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and material acceptance procedures.
  • Monitor contractor workmanship, construction methodologies, and productivity
  • Ensure all works comply with project quality requirements and approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Verify material quality, testing records, and construction documentation.
  • Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain inspection records, checklists, and photographic documentation.
  • Support preparation and closure of NCRs and quality observations.
  • Promote compliance with project HSE plans and procedures.
  • Monitor safe execution of underground construction activities, confined-space works, excavation, lifting operations, and heavy equipment usage.
  • Participate in safety inspections, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments.
  • Report unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
  • Support emergency preparedness and incident investigations
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inspection reports.
  • Record construction progress, quality issues, safety observations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate site diaries, inspection logs, and photographic records.
  • Assist in preparing completion reports, punch lists, and handover documentation
  • Coordinate with Resident Engineers, design engineers, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Participate in technical, quality, safety, and progress meetings.
  • Provide technical feedback regarding construction issues and site conditions.
  • Support resolution of construction-related technical and contractual issues
