Sales Clerk

Job Overview

In this position as Sales Clerk at the Marvin Home Center, you will be responsible for greeting customers and welcoming them to the store, answering customer questions, selling products and suggesting options that fit their needs, providing instruction on using products and checking customers out when they are finished shopping.

Highlights of your role

• Provide superior friendly service “Gold Standard”
• Assist customers in making their selection
• Answer phone calls quickly and professionally
• Provide customers with the correct product information
• Assist with recovery throughout the store, keeping the store clean
• Help maintain the inventory levels and reordering
• Check UPC codes and SKU’s so they are correct and updated as needed
• Ensure sales signage is posted at the product during specified promotions

• Friendly and approachable, willing to engage customers

• Good listener
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with heavier team lifts
• Work well with others harmoniously to reach goals
• Basic math skills sufficient to handle cash transactions
• Attend workshops, seminars and market trade shows
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation

$13.00 - $17.00 per hour
