Safety Technician

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Safety Technician to support our client, a leading industrial manufacturing provider.

Position Overview

This role acts as a vital technical hub for workplace health and compliance on the facility floor. As a Safety Technician, your primary mission moves beyond high-level policy design to focus heavily on the "stuff"—the day-to-day execution of hazard assessments, equipment calibrations, and site monitoring. Reporting directly to the Safety Coordinator, you will ensure a zero-incident culture by maintaining rigorous adherence to OSHA standards, keeping live tracking logs pristine, and serving as the primary technical eyes and ears for facility risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Inspections & Audits: Conduct routine, hands-on safety inspections, audits, and physical risk assessments across production job sites and facility lines.

• Incident Investigation: Assist directly with real-time accident/incident investigations, performing root-cause evaluations and preparing detailed technical reports.

• Safety Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, inspect, and maintain sensitive safety gear, including gas monitors, atmospheric testing tools, and fall protection hardware.

• Compliance Logs & Records: Maintain absolute accuracy over mandatory safety records, including live OSHA logs, environmental training documentation, and digital inspection data.

• Frontline Training: Deliver foundational safety briefings, execute toolbox talks, and conduct basic safety training sessions for personnel and on-site contractors.

• Emergency Response: Support facility emergency response programs, coordinating active drills, preparedness assessments, and physical first aid logistics.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree or a focused technical certification in occupational safety is highly preferred.

• Experience: 1–3 years of direct, hands-on experience in industrial safety or occupational health and safety within a manufacturing environment.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid working command of OSHA and EPA regulations, alongside general industrial safety practices.

• Technical Tools: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety reporting software; ability to calibrate specialized environmental diagnostic gear.

• Language & Communication: Must be fully proficient in reading and writing technical safety reports in English, backed by strong interpersonal skills.

• Status: Full-Time.

• Physical Demands: Constantly active; frequently standing, walking, and safely moving or lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
