Description

Traders Village Houston is seeking a dependable Restroom Attendant to join our team. This position works Mondays–Wednesdays and Fridays, with Thursdays off. The Restroom Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary men’s and women’s restrooms throughout our flea market property.

There are three (3) restroom locations on the property, each with separate men’s and women’s restrooms (six restrooms total). Restroom duties are divided between two attendants throughout the week. The manager will provide a schedule outlining restroom assignments and daily coverage.


Job Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, and sanitize assigned restrooms, including floors, sinks, toilets, stalls, and high-touch surfaces

  • Perform general cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas

  • Ensure restroom floors are dry and free of paper, trash, or debris

  • Refill restroom supplies such as toilet paper and soap

  • Empty trash containers and properly dispose of waste

  • Use commercial-grade cleaning chemicals and disinfectants while following safety procedures

  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to a supervisor or Maintenance team

  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers


Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and outdoor weather conditions

  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 pounds

  • Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment (mop, broom, etc.)

  • Ability to follow cleaning and safety procedures consistently

  • Must be comfortable working with strong cleaning chemicals and strong chemical odors

  • Ability to communicate politely with customers

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
