Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Badging in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
