Make a difference with DeterTech
At DeterTech, our purpose is to give greater peace of mind to people and communities, every day. Through innovative technology and intelligence-led security solutions, we help predict, deter and detect crime.
We’re welcoming expressions of interest from field engineers and people with relevant technical experience for opportunities across Ireland. Whether you’re actively looking for your next role or considering a future move, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Our field engineering opportunities involve installing, maintaining and removing battery-operated security solutions for customers across sectors including construction, energy, utilities, rail, retail, government and law enforcement, and vacant properties.
Depending on the position, you could be:
- Installing and commissioning security equipment, ensuring it is positioned and secured correctly.
- Maintaining equipment through battery maintenance, camera reconfiguration, cleaning and servicing.
- Diagnosing technical faults and resolving issues to ensure reliable performance.
- Communicating with site managers and DeterTech’s Alarm Receiving Centre to coordinate work and share information.
- Safely removing equipment and helping customers understand how to operate their security solutions.
What you could bring
We’d like to hear from people with:
- Hands-on experience in field engineering, installation, maintenance or a similar technical role.
- A background in telecommunications, satellite systems, electronics, gas, electrical work or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and a commitment to safe, high-quality work.
- Confidence working independently, including lone working, and making decisions on site.
- Good communication and organisational skills, a customer-focused approach and confidence using digital tools to record work.
A full UK driving licence is required for these field-based opportunities.
Sector experience, travel requirements, physical tasks and any essential qualifications will vary by position. These will be explained when we discuss a specific opportunity with you.
Opportunities across different regions
When registering, please tell us where you’re based, which locations or territories you’d consider and the types of field engineering roles that interest you.
Register your interest
Submit your CV and tell us about your experience, preferred locations and the opportunities you’re looking for.
This is an expression of interest rather than an application for a specific vacancy, so you should not expect an immediate call or interview. When a suitable vacancy arises that matches your experience, interests and preferred location, our recruitment team will contact you to discuss the opportunity.
Availability varies by region, and registering your interest does not guarantee an interview or offer. If you see a specific advertised vacancy that interests you, please apply directly to that role.
We are committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process. If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know and we will be happy to support you.
