This role will be supporting Dealer Website, which is a digital platform designed to deliver seamless customer experience across both Caterpillar-owned digital channels and dealer-managed websites. Working closely with the Cat.com ecosystem, the platform enables dealers to consume centrally managed content from Cat.com while also maintaining flexibility to add localized products, services, and market-specific information relevant to their territories. By providing a common foundation and content-sharing capabilities, Dealer Website helps improve brand consistency, reduce content duplication efforts, and simplify the process of keeping dealer sites aligned with Caterpillar's digital experience strategy. The product is developed in close collaboration with the Cat.com engineering and product teams to ensure an integrated customer journey across all web touchpoints. 

 
What will you do?  

As a Digital Business Product Owner, you will strongly contribute to vision and product development through high end Caterpillar product portfolio and be responsible for the following:  

• Support prioritization and refinement of the product backlog, including defects, enhancements, and new features. 

• Translate business priorities, user insights, and product objectives into clearly defined features, requirements, and acceptance criteria that enable successful delivery. 

• Maintain accurate and transparent backlog items and documentation in Azure DevOps to support delivery planning and execution. 

• Collaborate with Engineering, UX/UI, Product Management, and stakeholders to deliver features and releases aligned with business needs. 

• Participate in discovery activities, backlog refinement, solution design discussions, user acceptance testing, and retrospectives. 

• Gather requirements and feedback from users, dealers, stakeholders, and support teams to support product improvements. 

• Monitor delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and adoption metrics, providing regular status updates and escalation when needed. 

• Support alignment across related products and teams to ensure a seamless user experience. 

• Assist with release readiness, user communications, training, and adoption activities. 

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality and customer satisfaction. 

 

This position works in Central European time zone directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US. Role will require collaboration across several time zones and cross functional teams. 
 

What you have:  

• Business Analysis: Knowledge of business analysis and the set of tasks, techniques and tools required to identify business needs; ability to recommend solutions that deliver value to stakeholders. 

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. 

• Software Change Request Management: Knowledge of software change request management; ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff. 

• Software Product Business Knowledge: Knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision. 

• Software Problem Management: Knowledge of strategies, practices and tools for resolving software problems; ability to manage software problems in installed software products. 

• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, translate business needs into product requirements, and support successful product delivery and continuous improvement efforts. 

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. 

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Knowledge of UAT activities, tasks, tools and techniques; ability to design, implement and evaluate acceptance tests for end-users. 

 

Top Candidates will also have:  

• Demonstrated experience working within agile teams in Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, or related roles 

• Demonstrated experience supporting digital product, operational, business analysis, or transformation initiatives 

• Experience working within agile product teams and contributing to product discovery and delivery activities 

• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, manage backlogs, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders 

• Exposure to UI prototyping applications such as Figma 

• Familiarity with product management and delivery tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Aha! 

• Interest in emerging technologies, including generative AI applications 

• PSPO I, CSPO, or equivalent Agile/Product Owner certification preferred
