The Opportunity
We are looking for a Management Accountant to become the go-to finance expert for our Spanish entities, Monex Europa S.L. (MESL) and Monex Europe Markets S.V., S.A.U. (MEMSV). You will own the day-to-day accounting for both entities, become the reference point for local financial regulation and processes, and work closely with the Accounting Manager and the wider Finance team across Europe.
This is a great opportunity for an accountant who wants real ownership, exposure to a regulated financial services environment, and room to grow with a business that is scaling fast.
What You Will Do

- Record and maintain accurate accounting entries across the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank, supplier, and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
- Track and categorise expenses in line with the approved budget
Reporting and Closing
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow)
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Tax, Regulatory Compliance, and Audit
- Support the preparation of tax returns and compliance filings (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and related reports)
- Ensure compliance with Spanish and international financial regulations applicable to both entities
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and act as a point of contact for auditors
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes
- Support the implementation of accounting system upgrades and automation tools
What You Will Bring
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in financial services, audit, or a regulated environment
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Working knowledge of Spanish GAAP (PGC) and Spanish tax regulations
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong Excel skills for reconciliations, analysis, and reporting
- High attention to detail, with strong organisational and time-management skills
- Analytical, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Fluent Spanish and professional English, written and spoken
Nice to Have
- Exposure to CNMV-regulated entities or investment firms
- Experience supporting audits or working in a Big Four / audit firm
- Interest in process automation and finance systems
