Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Control in Hatfield, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and help maintain a secure environment at a temperature-controlled logistics location. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and support site operations through reliable security-related presence. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

• Age Requirement:Candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101). This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with legal regulations and to maintain a safe working environment.

• Security Experience:Candidates must possess a minimum of one year of security experience (C115). This experience is essential for roles that require vigilance and the ability to respond to security-related incidents effectively.

• Technical Proficiency:Candidates must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using a computer or tablet (B204). Familiarity with technology is crucial for performing job-related tasks efficiently.

• Physical Requirements:Candidates must be able to lift more than 20 pounds (B209). This physical capability is necessary for roles that involve manual handling of equipment or materials.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points, to help identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports of security-related incidents, access activity, and observations; communicate relevant information to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
