Overview

The Davenport Hotel Collection is seeking an accomplished hospitality executive to provide strategic leadership across this distinguished collection of hotels in Spokane, Washington. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader who brings a strong operational foundation, sophisticated business acumen, and a passion for developing exceptional teams and guest experiences.

 

As Vice President & Area Managing Director, you will serve as a key leader for the collection, providing strategic direction across operations, financial performance, commercial strategy, talent, and guest experience. Working closely with ownership and Davidson Hospitality Group, you will help shape the continued success and evolution of these iconic Spokane properties while positioning the collection for long-term growth.

 

This role is ideal for a dynamic, highly visible hospitality leader who is equally comfortable setting the strategic vision and engaging directly with property leadership teams. You will be expected to build strong relationships, identify opportunities, drive accountability, and inspire a culture focused on excellence, collaboration, and results.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight across The Davenport Collection, ensuring alignment with ownership and Davidson’s vision, values, and business objectives

• Partner closely with property leadership to drive operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences, employee engagement, and consistent service standards

• Lead the financial performance of the collection, with accountability for budgeting, forecasting, revenue generation, profitability, and overall business results

• Develop and execute strategic business plans that capitalize on market opportunities, strengthen the portfolio, and drive long-term growth

• Serve as a trusted strategic partner to ownership, building strong relationships and maintaining open, proactive communication regarding performance, opportunities, and challenges

• Coach, develop, and inspire property leadership teams, creating a strong leadership pipeline and culture of accountability and engagement

• Partner with commercial, sales, marketing, revenue management, and other corporate resources to maximize market position and financial performance

• Monitor industry, economic, and competitive trends across the Spokane market and identify opportunities to strengthen the collection’s position

• Ensure operational standards, brand expectations, compliance, and quality initiatives are consistently maintained across the portfolio

• Lead through change and complexity with sound judgment, agility, and a solutions-oriented approach

• Represent The Davenport Collection and Davidson Hospitality Group within the Spokane community and hospitality industry, cultivating meaningful relationships with key stakeholders and business partners

 

What We’re Looking For

• An accomplished hospitality executive with significant leadership experience in full-service, luxury, or upper-upscale hotel environments

• 10+ years of progressive hotel leadership experience, including experience leading at the General Manager, Area Managing Director, Regional, or comparable executive level

• Demonstrated success leading complex hotel operations and/or multi-property portfolios

• Strong financial acumen with a proven ability to drive profitability, manage budgets, interpret financial performance, and translate business results into strategic action

• A strategic, commercially minded leader who understands how operations, sales, revenue management, and guest experience come together to drive results

• A highly effective people leader with a track record of developing strong leadership teams and creating cultures of accountability, collaboration, and engagement

• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively partner with ownership, Davidson leadership, hotel teams, and community stakeholders

• Strong executive presence, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex situations with confidence and professionalism

• A passion for hospitality and a genuine commitment to creating exceptional experiences for both guests and associates

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
