JOB DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION SUMMARY: R003 Relief Opr 0003 - Storm Lake Pork Plant

 

This position is responsible for operating production machinery to maintain the continuous flow of product through the production process. The team member ensures proper ingredients and supplies are used, monitors and adjusts equipment as needed, and reports maintenance concerns while following all safety and company policies and procedures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Monitor product flow to maintain continuous production.
• Ensure correct ingredients and supplies are used on the production line.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Identify equipment issues and notify supervision when maintenance is needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety, food safety, and company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able and willing to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able and willing to perform repetitive movements, including bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling as required.
• Must be able and willing to work around moving machinery and production equipment.
• Must be able and willing to work in varying production environment conditions and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Must be able and willing to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
