Registered Nurse - RN Casual

MN Urology is currently seeking a Casual Registered Nurse (RN) in West Metro Clinics.

Primary Objective

To ensure the delivery of quality patient care through effective oversight of triage functions, coordination of prescription prior authorizations, providing education and resources to patients and their families, and assisting with special procedures including UroNav and TRUS biopsies as well as Urodynamics testing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborates with all members of the Minnesota Urology Health Care Team to ensure the delivery of quality patient care.
• Conducts telephone interviews and assessments of new and existing patients.
• Develops and maintains triage protocol and implements follow-up procedures.
• Monitors triage function effectiveness and provides coaching and feedback to clinical staff.
• Initiates prescription prior authorizations for patient medications.
• Provides patient care assisting providers with procedures and a variety of tasks including patient intake, providing patient education, and documenting information accurately in EMR.
• Assists providers with special procedures including UroNav and TRUS biopsies.
• Administers Urodynamics testing.
• Provides patient education, coordinates appropriate provider consultation and identifies resources to assist patients and their families.
• Instructs patients and their families regarding medication and treatment preparation.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of MN
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Three plus years of experience in clinical nursing; specialty practice experience preferred.
