Description
HSE Manager – Power Generation - Texas
Verto People is recruiting an HSE Manager to lead owner-side health, safety and environmental oversight on a power generation project.
You’ll lead the site HSE team, hold contractors accountable for safe working practices and exercise stop-work authority when required.
Key responsibilities

Set site HSE expectations and monitor contractor compliance.

Review safety plans, job hazard analyses and high-risk work activities.

Lead owner participation in incident investigations and corrective actions.

Monitor safety performance and report trends to project leadership.

Oversee environmental compliance and adherence to permit conditions.

Deliver OSHA 30 training to the owner’s site team.
Requirements
-
At least 12 years of construction safety leadership on major industrial projects.

At least five years representing an owner and overseeing EPC contractors under lump-sum contracts.

OSHA 500 training and strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 requirements.

Experience managing safety on sites with more than 1,500 workers.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience.
CSP or equivalent certification and environmental permitting experience on new-build power projects would be advantageous.
