Project Manager
$180K to $220K + Super + Vehicle + Bonus
Site-based work, between Brisbane & Gold Coast
Lead major civil projects with the backing, resources and autonomy to deliver at your best.
Join a well-established, privately owned civil contractor that combines the capability of a major national business with the approachable culture of a close-knit team. With a strong pipeline, you will have the opportunity to lead substantial urban or infrastructure works while supported by in-house resources that help remove delivery bottlenecks and keep projects moving.
“I’m not in a ‘boxed-in’ position. I can express ideas, methodologies and strategies, and I’m encouraged to pursue avenues that benefit the business.”
What Sets This Role Apart
This is a role for a Project Manager who wants more. You will gain the support and project variety of a major contractor without losing visibility, autonomy or access to leaders who back their teams.
- Build: a strong portfolio across sizeable urban development or road infrastructure works in South East Queensland.
- Learn: within a vertically integrated group where in-house survey, traffic management, plant hire and pipework provide exposure to the wider delivery model.
- Own: projects from planning and tendering through delivery, commercial performance and close-out.
- Influence: project strategy, team performance, client relationships and the continued growth of the Queensland operation.
- Strengthen: your leadership, commercial judgement, programming and delivery capability while guiding junior engineers.
- Move closer to: genuine progression in a growing business with a well-established leadership team and a strong record of retention.
- Be able to say: you delivered significant civil works with the resources to focus on performance rather than constantly chasing plant, people and equipment.
“We take on decisions as a team and work hard together to make the best decisions for the company and our people.”
What You’ll Do
You will take end-to-end responsibility for civil projects, combining hands-on delivery leadership with the commercial oversight and stakeholder management needed to achieve strong, consistent outcomes.
- Manage residential and commercial land development projects
- Manage and respond to tenders for new residential and sub-division construction projects
- Guide a team of junior engineers assigned to your projects

About You
- You are an experienced civil Project Manager with a background in urban development and/or infrastructure delivery.
- You understand what strong project delivery looks like and can apply sound judgement across planning, cost, compliance and performance.
- You are practical, down-to-earth and low-ego, with a leadership style that earns trust on site and in the office.
- You take initiative, solve problems and follow through, rather than waiting for others to create momentum.
- You can build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, supervisors and developing engineers.
- You are comfortable working site-based between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
About the Company
