Hiring Unit:  School of Social Work

The School of Social Work is seeking two course lecturers (MCLIU – unionized) for two sections (one instructor per section) of the following course:


SWRK 344:  Integrative Seminar 1

Sections 1 and 2

Term:  Winter 2027

Course Dates:  January 5 – April 14, 2027.

Schedule:  Wednesdays, 8:35-11:25.

Rate:  $11 824.00 per course.

 

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

  • MSW degree or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated excellence in social work practice.

Demonstrated practical application of, and/or teaching experience in, the following areas:

  • Knowledge of the theories, frameworks, practice modalities and skills informing social work practice with individuals, groups and communities.
  • Expert knowledge of the role of social workers in a social service or community setting, as well as their relationship to other professionals in these settings.
  • Demonstrate competence in engaging students in critical reflection and reflective practice.
  • Supervisory experience of stagiaires and/or professional social workers.
