Description

We are working closely with a local authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Control Centre Operator, on a 3-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.45- £17.42 per hour

Summary:

The Control Centre Operator will provide a responsive, customer-focused 24/7 telecare and contact centre service to vulnerable, elderly and other customers who may require support, reassurance or emergency assistance. The postholder will receive and respond to inbound calls, make outbound welfare calls and coordinate appropriate responses to emergency, priority and routine enquiries.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond promptly to emergency, priority and routine calls from vulnerable and elderly customers.
  • Assess the nature and urgency of calls and take appropriate action in accordance with established procedures.
  • Follow the Council's safeguarding policies and procedures and report concerns relating to children or adults at risk.
  • Complete safeguarding training appropriate to the role.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information and report suspected information security breaches.

Qualifications:

  • GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Mathematics, with a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above.
  • Relevant customer service, contact centre, telecare or safeguarding training would be advantageous.

Essentials:

  • Experience of providing customer-focused information, advice or support.
  • Experience of dealing with customers by telephone, face-to-face or written communication.
  • Experience of working in a customer service, contact centre, care, support or similar environment would be advantageous.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires a Basic DBS
