Position Overview:
As a Hard Parts Developer supporting the KLIM and 509 brands in Rigby, you will help develop helmets, goggles, and other technical consumer products for the snow and motorcycle markets. Working from concept through production, this role coordinates product specifications, graphics, colorways, samples, and factory communication across the development lifecycle. You will collaborate with Design, Product Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Production, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to deliver products that meet performance, durability, comfort, style, quality, and schedule expectations. This position offers meaningful ownership of products that powersports riders depend on, along with broad exposure to product development and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of helmets, goggles, and other products from concept through production.
- Create and maintain accurate product specifications, bills of materials, colorways, development comments, and related documentation in Centric PLM.
- Review prototypes and product samples, document feedback, and clearly communicate revisions to factory partners.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support product development activities and successful product launches.
- Manage multiple development projects and complete deliverables according to seasonal timelines and milestones.
- Partner with Design, Product Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Quality, Production, and factory teams throughout the development process.
- Support the implementation of graphics and colorways by accurately communicating artwork, specifications, and production requirements.
- Evaluate product components, materials, construction methods, and performance to identify and support product improvements.
- Research market trends, competitive products, and emerging materials to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Incorporate rider, dealer, sales, and quality feedback into future product enhancements.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Industrial Design, Engineering, Technical Design, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in product development, product management, manufacturing, sourcing, engineering support, or a related field.
- Understanding of consumer product development and manufacturing processes, with the ability to manage products from concept through production.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and seasonal deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across functions and with factory partners.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product data accuracy.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with factories, suppliers, or manufacturing partners preferred.
- Experience with powersports, sporting goods, outdoor products, helmets, goggles, or other technical consumer products preferred.
- Experience with Centric PLM or another product lifecycle management system preferred.
- Interest in powersports and technical consumer products preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, including internationally, and meet passport requirements.
