This is an opportunity to bring together your peer practice expertise and leadership capability. You will support our team of Peer workers to ensure participants receive high-quality, person-centred, recovery-oriented care in accordance with organisational, contractual and legislative requirements.

Working alongside participants, you will draw upon lived experience of mental distress, service use, personal growth and learning to build authentic, mutual connection, support self-determination and recovery.

You will also bring a lived experience perspective to service development and continuous improvement helping ensure services remain responsive to participant’s needs, strengths and aspirations.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day delivery of services to ensure safe, high-quality and participant-centred outcomes
  • Coordinate team workflows, participant allocation, rostering and workforce coverage
  • Provide day-to-day practical guidance and support to the peer work team, consistent with peer work values and Intentional Peer Support (IPS) principles
  • Support the implementation of organisational initiatives and local service improvements

  • Personal lived experience of mental health challenges, distress and/or engagement with mental health service
  • Demonstrated understanding of peer work values and principles
  • Experience leading frontline teams and coordinating daily operations, including responding to changing service priorities
  • A strong understanding of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice
