Robbins Lumber Company is looking for a dependable and safety-minded Finger Joint Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Finger Joint Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring finger-jointing equipment used to produce quality, consistent lumber products.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor finger-jointing machinery and related equipment.
- Set up and make adjustments to equipment to maintain proper production and product quality.
- Inspect lumber and finished products for defects, proper dimensions, and quality.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Keep the machine and surrounding work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Identify equipment problems and communicate mechanical or operational issues to maintenance or supervision.
- Perform routine equipment checks and assist with basic maintenance as trained.
- Maintain consistent production while meeting quality standards.
- Safely handle lumber, materials, and equipment throughout the production process.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
- Complete production paperwork and records as required.
- Work cooperatively with other employees and departments to keep production running efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating manufacturing or sawmill equipment preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and understand machinery operation.
- Ability to recognize equipment problems and troubleshoot basic issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing a quality product.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
- Ability to work around moving machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

Pay range potential over career $37,304 - $62,870 annually
Starting pay is $20/hour.
