Cardiovascular Vice President

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cardiovascular Vice President to lead a dedicated team within the zone and drive our Elevating Health cardiovascular strategy. This role supports improved access, quality, and efficiency of care across the Cardiovascular Imaging and Advanced Therapies portfolio.

The Cardiovascular Vice President (CVVP) serves as the zone liaison for the Advanced Therapies and Diagnostic Imaging and business areas. This leader is responsible for driving profitable growth, increasing market share, enhancing customer satisfaction, and developing innovative go-to-market strategies and business models. The role ensures effective portfolio sales execution, delivers customer-focused solutions, and accelerates business growth across the zone.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Excellence

  • Lead and develop a team of Cardiovascular Sales Executives (CVSEs), providing recognition, feedback, coaching, and professional development to foster a high-performance culture that exceeds sales and market share objectives.
  • Partner with the team to deliver effective customer solutions and achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Provide oversight of deal strategy, sales process execution, sales tool utilization, accountability, and overall team performance.
  • Assess technical, sales, and professional development needs and coordinate ongoing training and growth opportunities.
  • Drive clinical conversion excellence by enhancing the team's sales capabilities and clinical expertise.
  • Ensure active participation and engagement of team members in daily zone business activities.

Strategic, Clinical & Business Leadership

  • Develop and implement sales strategies, objectives, and operating plans for the zone.
  • Establish sales targets and ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Develop sales budgets and growth forecasts aligned with business line strategies.
  • Manage budget execution and regular sales performance reporting.
  • Allocate resources effectively to maximize business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and Project Management teams on strategic and tactical product and service positioning.
  • Champion customer focus across the organization and contribute to customer-driven product development initiatives and projects.
  • Support strategic business development activities for key customer accounts.
  • Coordinate and lead the resolution of customer satisfaction issues by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including Imaging Quality Experts, Service, Factory, R&D, Customer Specialists, and local sales teams.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of market dynamics, opportunities, and risks, providing effective win/loss analysis, trend reporting, and strategic recommendations.
  • Drive competitive conversions and oversee installed base management, while influencing sales force awareness and engagement across the zone.
  • Leverage CRM data and analytics to improve market strategies, sales effectiveness, and market share performance.
  • Provide visibility into business line forecasts and achievement of performance goals.
  • Support strategic, must-win, multi-unit, and multi-modality opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), SCA Managers, Federal Account Managers, and Service teams on customer account strategies.
  • Build executive-level customer relationships to strengthen customer satisfaction and business growth.

Education

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiology, Medical Imaging, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a clinical or sales environment, preferably selling cardiovascular diagnostic imaging capital equipment to hospitals and healthcare systems.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven sales and operations leadership experience, preferably within a major healthcare imaging organization. Strongly preferred someone that either has a cardiology clinical background or someone that has sold in the cardiology space.
  • Deep expertise in medical imaging equipment and diagnostic imaging solutions.
  • Strong understanding of strategic business objectives and the ability to develop and adapt sales strategies based on customer, market, and product analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong business judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to evaluate, improve, implement, and sustain business processes and operational approaches.
  • Commitment to sharing knowledge and best practices across direct, virtual, and matrix teams.
  • Recognized subject matter expertise with measurable impact on business performance.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic planning, cross-functional business practices, and operational procedures within a major functional area.

 

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience building, developing, leading, and mentoring high-performing teams.
  • Proven success managing multiple levels of employees across one or more major functional areas.
  • Experience in both sales and product management within a major healthcare imaging organization.
  • Advanced understanding and application of leadership approaches related to employee motivation, performance management, coaching, and work direction.

 

Work Environment

Work Arrangement: Field-Based / Customer-Facing

Travel Requirement: Up to 50% travel

The base pay range for this position is:

$159,200 - $218,900

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
