Why this role matters
As an Electrician you will perform Electrical work on the Solar PV Plant that will include Modification, Repair and Maintenance of Electrical Equipment and Systems as well as switching, isolation, earthing and LOTO duties as per Authorisation level.
This is a role for someone who wants to combine technical depth with purpose, learn in a fast-moving international business, and build experience in one of the world’s most relevant industries.
What you'll be doing
- Perform modification, troubleshooting, testing, repair, and maintenance of all plant electrical equipment and systems
- Execute switching, isolation, safety testing, earthing, and LOTO activities in line with ORHVS and PSR authorisation levels
- Conduct OEM-specific preventative and corrective maintenance on BESS, PV systems, and associated electrical equipment
- Maintain and monitor BESS systems, including coordination with maintenance contractors and adherence to contractual requirements
- Interpret schematics, perform inspections, identify defects, and implement corrective actions to ensure equipment reliability
- Complete safety documentation and ensure full compliance with HSSE standards and site procedures
- Capture and report maintenance activities on CMMS, support audits, and contribute to SOP and process improvements

What you’ll bring
Experience and qualifications
- N3 Qualification
- Qualified Electrician and ORHVS qualification
- Registered 3 phase installation electrician (SANS 10142); not single-phase tester
- 5+ years Electrical experience – AC & DC electrical systems
- Proven experience on MV & HV equipment troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance
- Ability to take ownership of electrical systems on the plant
- High Voltage Switching and Solar PV Plant experience
- Maintain Transformers and Switchgear and Assist with reporting and perform various HSE related inspections
- Experience with HV Switching, Solar PV Plant & BESS
