About the Role
The Audio Software Testing Engineer will be part of the Intelligent Audio Lab which develops SW for audio systems across multiple industries. You will be testing real time audio algorithms on different HW platforms. You will work within a broader team of experienced researchers and SW developers and will be expected to propose and conduct measurements and validation procedures for new algorithms and prototypes. You have strong analytic skills with technical depth to verify audio DSP algorithms in real-time audio systems.
What You Will Do
Test and evaluate performance of DSP algorithms and audio systems.
Test and evaluate performance of DSP algorithms and audio systems.
Knowledge on Audio Analyzer and signal generator tools like Audacity, Adobe Audition or any other tools.
Test software applications that are used to evaluate existing technologies for market readiness through benchmarking.
Perform system integration, performance and release testing.
Build automated test rigs.
Document and create manuals for new applications.
Bug triage and handling.
Transfer new technologies to commercialization teams.
Knowledge of Test Management Tool and Project Management Tools like JIRA, Confluence.
What You Need to Be Successful
BE or BTech degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Understanding of audio DSP principles.
Hands-on experience with continuous integration systems and Agile SW development (GIT).
Use of scripts to automate testing.
Experience with acoustic measurements and recording analysis
Bonus Points if You Have
Experience with DSP analysis: MATLAB, Python.
Experience with professional R&D measurement and analysis systems: Audio Precision audio analyzers, Signal Analyzers, LabVIEW.
