Description
The Execution to Custody (E2C) Product Manager role is a strategic Transaction Management position responsible for shaping, delivering, and evolving Execution to Custody (E2C) capabilities across the end-to-end trade lifecycle. The role contributes to the definition of the E2C product vision, roadmap, and value proposition, supporting commercial outcomes, client adoption, and competitive positioning.
The role requires a strong digital, data, and AI-first mindset, with the ability to leverage data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies to drive product innovation, operational efficiency, and enhanced client outcomes. The successful candidate will be data literate, comfortable applying AI-enabled solutions, and able to translate opportunities in data and technology into practical business value.
The role stays abreast of market and regulatory developments (e.g. T+1) and translates these into product direction, operating model enhancements, and client-facing solutions, leveraging data-driven insights and digital capabilities.
Recognized as a subject matter expert within E2C, or with the ability to rapidly develop deep expertise in the execution, settlement, custody, and post-trade lifecycle domain, the role provides insight across operational workflows, technology architecture, and risk considerations. It requires strong commercial awareness to balance client needs, scalability, and Citi's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementing new business (including incremental)
- Act as E2C SME supporting new client onboarding and setup
- Coordinate client setup, testing, and onboarding for E2C and OTM automation
- Ensure operational readiness with Operations and stakeholders
- Engage Product, Coverage, and Sales to support client solutions and onboarding
First Point of Contact (“Level 1”) for E2C queries
- Act as main contact for E2C BAU queries, triaging as needed
- Coordinate issue investigation and resolution with Operations and Technology
- Escalate to Regional Product Lead or global teams when required
Winning new business and product development
- Support RFPs and prospecting with E2C expertise and clear client value proposition
- Contribute to product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization
- Drive product enhancements, including business cases and requirements
- Support end-to-end delivery, including release planning and tracking
Product delivery and stakeholder management
- Support design and rollout of E2C capabilities
- Partner with Technology, Operations, and Sales to deliver outcomes
- Manage dependencies across systems and processes
- Prepare business and technical requirements
Market change, innovation, and improvement
- Support readiness for market/regulatory changes (e.g. T+1)
- Monitor trends and translate into product enhancements
- Drive process improvements to enhance scalability and client experience
- Identify opportunities to improve data, reporting, and workflows
Digital & Data-Driven Innovation
- Champion product differentiation and service enhancement by actively leveraging advanced data analytics, digital capabilities, and emerging technologies throughout the trade lifecycle.
Governance, risk, and controls
- Ensure governance over E2C product processes, including documentation and controls testing
- Apply risk discipline in decision making, safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Identify, escalate, and manage risks, issues, and control gaps with transparency

- Deliver measurable improvements in client experience, operational efficiency, and product scalability
- Contribute to the performance and competitiveness of the E2C and custody offering
Knowledge/Experience:
- Proven experience in custody, transaction management, or post-trade lifecycle, with focus on Execution to Custody processes
- Experience working across global, multi-functional environments
- Strong understanding of operational processes, technology platforms, and client servicing models
- Experience with regulatory or market structure changes (e.g. settlement cycle changes)

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Finance or other related fields

The Custody Product Manager will be part of the Execution to Custody (E2C) related services team.
Included in the scope of responsibilities are:
- Collaborate across teams as an E2C product expert to drive and support innovation.
- Drive product development needs and work with internal stakeholders in implementation of developments with high ROI.
- Work with internal partners (risk, legal, compliance) to ensure product risks are understood, documented and mitigated
Overall, the role contributes to the performance and effectiveness of the E2C function, supporting the custody franchise and reinforcing Citi’s competitive position in post-trade services.
